Startup culture, diverse, most English-friendly German city
Berlin is the most welcoming German city for new arrivals. The downside: housing is now very competitive and expensive (was affordable 5 years ago). Worth it.
Tech startups, creative industries, media, NGOs, EU bodies
Very active — 10+ Berlin Desi WhatsApp groups for jobs, housing, community
Trendy, expensive, good for young professionals
Most affordable, diverse, large immigrant community
More traditional, Indian restaurants, calmer lifestyle
Multiple Indian grocery stores, halal butchers, spice shops
Sri Ganesha Temple in Hamm (nearby), Hindu Mandir in Berlin
Amrit (Prenzlauer Berg), Indisches Restaurant Shalimar, Masala Indian Eatery
